This is Destination Crossroads where we take a step back to the Crossroads Motel with photographs from the official ATV and Central archives. Images cover from 1964 to 2003, covering all the various eras and versions of the serial.
The website is produced by the official ITV Crossroads Fan Club, the Crossroads Appreciation Society in association with ATV Network and ITV Archive.
Latest Updates:
In 2005 many Crossroads images were accidentally 'junked' when Granada took over Carlton's archive. Pictures were supposed to be sent to ITV Yorkshire's picture library, but they never arrived. The search to replace the lost stills library and picture archive of ATV and Central goes on.
Janet Hargreaves, who played Rosemary Hunter, has donated some images of her character to the archive. Stan Stennett provided some 1960s images.Tony Adams, on screen smoothy Adam Chance, provided photographs of Crossroads including some of Venice and of Noele Gordon (Meg Mortimer), including one of himself and Noele at a bus stop waiting to go shopping!
Alan Coleman, current boss of ATV Network, has also released some Crossroads images including one of himself when he was a director on the saga with Sue Nicholls (Marilyn Gates), another of John Bentley (Hugh Mortimer) and Noele Gordon rehearsing in his garden, a 1969 Crossroads cast and crew photograph and some Lunchbox era photos which Noele presented.
Mr Oakley has also provided many great photographs from the 1960s and 70s.The Crossroads Fan Club and the TV Times Archive have provided images to ITV Archive and Network DVD to fill some of the lost gaps.
Do you have any Crossroads photographs not featured on these pages? (or better quality copies of the low-quality ones?) With the loss of such an extensive and more so historic stills library we'd love to add any that remain to this online collection. You can contact us via the details here.
